Well here is the definition

“A glimmer is a micro moment of feeling safe enough, connected enough, organized enough”

Deb Dana who first used it in her book – The Polyvagal Theory in Therapy

Well it is a moment of joy and nothing short of it!

I have been using this term lately and also consciously being grateful for the Glimmers that are present right around the corner. Yes they are!

How? Where? What?

Well, let me help you….

So here are a few Glimmers I am listing so that you get a feel of what it is all about

  1. Watching the Sunrise / Sunset
  2. Hugging your pet
  3. Cherishing a dessert
  4. Conversing with your loved one
  5. When the first rays of the Sun hits your window
  6. Smell of a book

Now you know what I am talking about!

And Glimmers are the opposite of triggers and ensures your nervous system is sane!

So what are some of the Glimmers that you came across?
